Taylor Swift Sends Unreleased Song To Olivia Rodrigo & Conan Gray Who Reply On TikTok
Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is finally out, including six tracks “From The Vault.”
Taylor Swift is at it again. After releasing two sisters records, folklore and evermore, in 2020, the American singer has just re-released a new version of her 2008 album Fearless.
Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is co-produced by Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff, the team behind folklore and evermore. The new record includes six previously unreleased songs, the so-called “From The Vault” tracks, alongside re-recordings of the original 19 songs on the album.
Among the original song, Swift re-released her anthem You Belong With Me, where she pines for a guy who is with the wrong girl. In the music video, Swift plays both girls: a shy girl next door and the supposedly mean cheerleader — it doesn't get more early 2000s teen drama than that.
Taylor Swift Sent New Version Of ‘You Belong With Me’ To Olivia Rodrigo And Conan Gray
Swift revealed she had sent the new version of the song to Olivia Rodrigo and Conan Gray ahead of release.
“You ok? NO cause I sent my two kids @Olivia_Rodrigo and @conangray my new version of You Belong With Me and THEY ARE SO CUTE IT PHYSICALLY HURTS ME,” Swift tweeted last night.
The two singer have reenacted part of the video, where Taylor as the girl-next-door uses signs to communicate with the neighbor she’s in love with. Like "good" Taylor, Gray and Rodrigo also sing using brushes as microphones and jump on their bed.
The clip was uploaded to Gray’s TikTok account.
Taylor Swift’s From The Vault Song About Joe Jonas Is A Bop, Says Sophie Turner
Swift anticipated the album re-release with Mr. Perfectly Fine. The track is a previously-unheard breakup song possibly directed at her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas.
Mr. Perfectly Fine hints at a love story that starts off in the most promising way. But, alas, this supposed Prince Charming is actually a Mr. Casually Cruel who ultimately leaves in the worst possible way.
Swift appears to be roasting Jonas in the chorus: “Hello Mr. Perfectly fine/How's your heart after breaking mine?/Mr. Always at the right place at the right time, baby/Hello Mr. Casually cruel/Mr. Everything revolves around you/I've been Miss Misery since your goodbye/And you're Mr. Perfectly fine.”
Swift and Jonas dated for a few months in 2008, before he allegedly broke up with her over the phone. They have managed to stay friends, with a song in folklore also possibly referring to Jonas.
On the song Invisible String, Swift sings: "Cold was the steel of my axe to grind/For the boys who broke my heart/Now I send their babies presents," and fans are convinced it's about the evolution of her friendship with Jonas, who welcomed a baby with Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner in July 2020.
While Jonas hasn’t commented on the new song yet, his wife Turner has sided with Swift.
“It’s not NOT a bop,” Turner wrote in her Instagram story while listening to Mr. Perfectly Fine.
