Who can forget America's beloved loud mouthed, fist pumping guidos and guidettes of MTV's Jersey Shore? The hit reality show first aired on December 3, 2009 with its final season conceding the story of the Shore housemates' partying adventures in 2012. But, with the reboot series Jersey Shore: Family Vacation showing the lives of the now all grown up party animals, we get to see these reality legends immerse themselves into the world of business.
Snooki
Everyone's favorite bit sized, self-proclaimed "meatball", Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has come a long way from being the butt of the joke. Who would think a year after her likeness was egregiously used in a 2010 episode of South Park, she would go on to begin her journey as a best selling author?
Her ventures into the world of publishing started off slow with the 2011 release of A Shore Thing, a memoir telling he tales of her love life on the boardwalk - which only sold around 9,000 copies. Though this failure came as a shock seeing as how she went on various late shows to promote her book like Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Show with David Letterman, she continued her ventures as an author by publishing four more books - Confessions of a Guidette, Guerilla Beach, Baby Bumps: From Party Girl to Proud Mama, and all the Messy Milestones Along the Way, and Strong Is the New Sexy.
Along with book sales and her combined $325,000 per episode deal for Jersey Shore and JWOWW and Snooki with MTV, Snooki's $4 million net worth is also attributed to her online clothing store, the Snooki Shop. There, she sells everything from dazzlingly beachwear (aproposly named Snookinis) to cosmetic products like palettes and eyelashes.
"I’m trying to take advantage of what’s going on in my career by offering fans some of the products that I love and use myself," the star says in a 2011 interview with CNN Money.
JWoww
Fans of the Shore remember Jenni "Jwoww" Farley as the feisty fight starter of the show, from her numerous rumbles at clubs around the boardwalk to her butting rivalry with Sammi "Sweetheart". Though, as she begins living life after the show as a single mother of two, JWoww has since gone on several different business ventures. The cast was known for their extensive tanning regimen, so it's only right that Farley sold her own line of tanning products through a distribution company called Australian Gold Company.
Farley, who also received $175,000 per episode for her show JWoww and Snooki, recently opened a maternity clothing store called The Heavenly Flower. In an announcement, Farley describes the brand - which opens in May at the American Dream section of Garden Court of the East Rutherford megamall - as, "fun, stylish and affordable for women and kids and the realization of a longtime dream of mine."
"I’m a mom," she goes on to say, "and so many of my fans who have grown up watching me on television are now moms, too. ”I can’t think of better place to bring this idea to life than at American Dream."
Sammi “Sweetheart”
As the only non-returning member of the original cast, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola rejected the offer of 'Family Vacation' telling In Touch Weekly, "I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my business and my relationship.”
And that she is! After a slew of Instagram glamour shots showcases the gown for her upcoming wedding to Christian Biscardi , Giancola announced that she's opening a boutique on the Ocean City boardwalk called Sweetheart Coast. As an offset to her online shop Sweeatheart Styles, Giancola intends to open her shop in May for weekenders at the shore to buy luxury women's fashion and home decor.
In an Instagram announcement, Giancola says the shop will provide, "positive beach vibes to capture the essence of Ocean City, New Jersey."
Pauly D
With an estimated net worth of $20 milion, Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio is easily the highest paid member of the Jersey Shore. While he received the same $150,000 per episode deal as Snooki, much of his revenue comes from his gigs as a DJ and party host. His career as a DJ has been beyond successful with him seeing major achievements like signing a three-album deal with 50 Cent's G-Unit Records and G-Note Records and opening for Britney Spears during her 2012 Femme Fatal tour. Booking DJ Pauly D is no small feat. According to Forbes, the star earns "an average of $40,000 per show from club gigs, private parties."
As the first member of the Shore to receive his own spin off show from MTV, The Pauly D Project, DelVecchio has made countless other TV appearances like Famously Single, Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars, and Double Shot at Love and Revenge Prank to name a few.
