According to TMZ, Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly the subject of a separate “secret” NYPD criminal investigation amid recent allegations of rape and physical abuse made by ex-girlfriend Cassie.

The outlet reported on Thursday (Nov. 16), that some sort of active case under the name “Sean Combs” was made the same day as Cassie’s, and has been “locked” for sensitive reasons.

Without revealing details of the case, NYPD reportedly stated that they “take sexual assault and rape cases extremely seriously” and “urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so we can perform a comprehensive investigation, and offer support and services to survivors.”

Since the onset of allegations, Combs’ reps have “vehemently” denied Cassie’s accusations, calling the lawsuit a “baseless and outrageous” litigation “aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.”

Attorney Ben Brafman stated, “For the past 6 months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.”

The Love Records CEO has disabled comments on social media since the publicity of the suit.

According to The New York Times, Cassie née Cassandra Venture-Fine, made her case in a Manhattan Federal District Court under New York State’s Adult Survivors Act. The act allows sexual abuse victims to file civil suits against their alleged assailants after the statute of limitations expired.

“With the expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act fast approaching, it became clear that this was an opportunity to speak up about the trauma I have experienced and that I will be recovering from for the rest of my life,” said the “Me & U” stated.

Her lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, stated that Diddy has been aware of this lawsuit for some time, but offered Cassie “eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit.” However, she “rejected his efforts.”

Cassie and Diddy reportedly met in 2005 when she was only 19. The R&B star claimed that the father of six showed patterns of “control and abuse” almost immediately after they began dating.

She also claimed that throughout their relationship, Diddy manipulated her with drugs like ecstasy and ketamine, assaulted her, and forced her to sleep with several male prostitutes as he watched, masturbated, and recorded the encounters.

Ventura also claimed that the 54-year-old forced himself into her home and raped her in 2018.

“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships,” said the 37-year-old mother of two via statement.

Diddy has yet to personally respond to claims, however social media has come out with their own opinions on whether he is guilty or not.

“This Diddy news can be a watershed moment because the #MeToo movement hasn’t really hit the Hip-Hop industry the way it’s hit others,” one person wrote on X. “People have been able to maneuver freely. This might be what opens the doors. A lot of phone calls are probably being made right now.”

Aubrey took to her Instagram Story, where she doubled down on her previous statements regarding Diddy. “Been trynna tell y’all for years. Prayers up for this queen @cassie. [One] day ya’ll are gonna put some respect on my name when I tell you things,” she wrote.
